Remote Electronic Notarization (R.E.N.) — Coming Soon!
Bluewater Notary Services will offer Remote Electronic Notarization (R.E.N.) services upon full implementation and authorization by the State of North Carolina, in accordance with the North Carolina General Statutes Chapter 10B and applicable administrative rules issued by the North Carolina Department of the Secretary of State.
Remote Electronic Notarization will allow qualified signers to appear before a commissioned North Carolina Notary Public using approved audio-visual communication technology and identity verification procedures as prescribed by state law. All notarial acts performed through R.E.N. will strictly adhere to statutory requirements, including identity proofing, credential analysis, electronic journal retention, and approved technology standards.
We are actively monitoring the State’s certification process and implementation timeline and will announce availability as soon as authorization is finalized.
